This is the last post with images found in the US National archives. They are much more optimistic than the previous batch describing the typhoon damage.
It shows “Humanity Calls”, the US non-profit which took a great effort to get those Russians from this remote island.
There are also photos of US Senator William F. Knowland (1908-1974) visit to the IRO refugee camp in Tubabao, Philippines. Senator in the refugees camp? It was possible in 1950s…

White Russians wishing to go to the United States are registered their names at REA office. The queue here is a small portion of 4000 people anxious to go.
